MUA Ever After Matte Pallete : Hello I'm Clo

MUA Ever After Matte Pallete : Hello I'm Clo

Everyday natural look make up palette from Make Up Academy.

Hello! I'm Clo!

In an everlasting quest to find the perfect eye palette, I bring to you today the MUA Ever after, all matte palette. Now the Make Up Academy people make some pretty big claims about this palette, but does it live up to the hype? And what can you expect from a £4 eyeshadow palette?

"Create a variety of looks, from subtle & natural to smokey and glam,
with the ultimate matte eyeshadow palette. Mix and blend the 10 irresistible velvety shades
of warm and cool tones, for a cashmere-soft finish."

I'm a really big fan of MUA. It's the perfect place to start with make up, it's affordable and easy to use and the colour palettes typically come ready to experiment with and create a number of different make up looks, the basic brown coloured palletes are all fabulous for make up beginners! This palette's colours also create great, natural looks which are ideal for beginners or people wanting to push their make up boundaries by introducing a smokey eye into their make up repertoire.

Top row colours left to right; Unwrap, Butter, Bare, Taffeta, Fade.
Bottom row colours left to right; Penny, Chino, Truffle, Fog, Smoke.

The Ever After palette has the absolute perfect balance of day and night colours. They're interchangeable and have many different look abilities.  The top row cool tones create a super natural 'I woke up like this' make up look. These colours will enhance natural caucasian features and is perfect for clear or prominently coloured eyes. The bottom row is just wonderful for an evening make up look that will, again, enhance your features without being overpowering colour wise. You can use the bottom line to create a beautifully toned smokey eye perhaps using the unwrap shade from the top light on the inner corner of both eyes to keep your natural eye colour bright. Alternatively you may want to mix colours to create a defined day eye look by using a darker colour to define the crease of the eyelid.

If you're a fan of eyeliner you may want to try using the Smoke colour on your lash line as an alternative to liquid or gels. You can also add a little water to your brush to create your own liquid eyeliner. See video on how to do that here: Create your own liquid eyeliner.

Overall, I think MUA kept to their promise of creating an ultimate matte eyeshadow collection. Matte makes life so much easier I think, no mess, no fall out shimmer - Ideal for no fuss make up or quick application. Love you lots,
