Sleek Ultra Mattes V1 EyeShadow Palette : Hello I'm Clo
Sleek I~ Divine Ultra Mattes V1 Brights Palette
Mineral Based Eyeshadow Palette 730
Hello I'm Clo!
When I discover a new Make Up brand I tend to really get sucked in. I try out everything bloggers rave about from that brand, then try all the other bits and bobs that catch my eye, until I need something specific from another brand and move on. This is very bad for the bank balance if you're a make up magpie like I am! I've done this with previous brands; MUA, Collection, The Natural Collection, Number 7, MAC Cosmetics and now it's Sleeks turn.
I've been picking up a lot of sleek make up pieces. Recently I wrote about sleeks poor delivery in a previous post and since then have only bought in-store in Superdrug with the added bonus of 10% off if you have a valid NUS student card. After the sucess of the I~Divine Rio Rio Pallete, I decided to pick up another palette instore. I bought the raved about, loved and hyped I~Divine Ultra Matte Brights Pallete which has 12 matte bright colours in for £7.99.
It's bright, sassy and I'm In Love!!!
*Gets Over Excited*
Being an all matte palette makes these colours a great base in which to build on with shimmer or glitters or sweep across your lids to create a simplistic, basic make up look. This selection of eyeshadow colours also allows you to experiment with what colours look great on your eyes and which ones don't suit you too well.
These colours are also great to use streaked over your face RAVE STYLE. Wear with UV Lipstick to finish the look but warning! This look is only socially acceptable at raves and festivals not for popping to the local shops!
The Matte V1 colour palette contains light colours that are super pigmented and are effortless to use. The colour doesn't require building up becasue the pigment is already super charged up, because of this the colour pigment lasts longer and you get more for your money! ... Speaking of money I paid £7.99 (£7.20 if you use NUS Discount at Superdrug) for this palette. All the I~Divine palettes are £7.99, including current limited editions.
Top row colours left to right; Chill, Pout, Sugarlite, Dragon Fly, Pucker, Bamm!
Bottom row colours left to right; Cricket, Bolt, Strike, Floss, Crete, Pow!
These colours are amazing and I think this palette in particular would suit any skin tone. There really is something for everyone. I look at this palette and think "Summer!" My favorite colours are Bamm! and Strike. Both colours are really out there and bright. They'd be really nice put together and make me think of sunset on a foreign beach! They're fun and that's something I really look for in make up! I wish I had a lipstick in the Strike colour that way I could do a matching lip and eye make up. The shade Pucker reminds me of a mac lipstick (The name of which escapes me) and pucker is very, very similar to the colour pout. I'm guessing because of the similarity of names they could potentially be meant to be together, however If I was picking the palette, I'd have picked one or the other not both as, like I said they're very similar. The blues of this palette would make a beautiful two tone blue eye make up, finished off by using the white colour Pow! in the inner corner and Crete grey in the outer colour to add something different to the look.
I'm going to use these colours as colour bases to add pigment over the top of. These will make glitter come alive and especially for photographic make up these colours will provide the coverage and vibrance I require.
I hope you enjoed this post / review of the Sleek Ultra Mattes V1 EyeShadow Palette 730! Let me know what Sleek Make Up products you've used and what you like / don't like!
Lots of love,
Clo : -))
