Books I'm Currently Reading

I'm currently reading:

The Teen Vogue Handbook (Issue 1)
Twilight Eclipse, Stephanie Meyer
Skinny Bitch, Freedman and Barmouin
Leadership and Self-Deception, The Arbinger Institute

I appear to have a book to suit each mood or interest on the go. I'm not capable of just reading one title at a time. I like a selection, some variety. Books are just great: Great gifts, great information providers and great for getting away from the 'Real World,' for a little while, at least.

So here's a little breakdown of what I'm currently reading, please do let me know if you'd like me to review any of these in more depth.

The Vogue Handbook

The Vogue Handbook is a great read for anyone who's interested in the fashion or arts industry, It's a great insider guide that covers everything from journalism to models, hair and photography. I'd also recommend Vogue's handbook to bloggers for some inspiration and tips. There has recently been an update of this book, featuring more time relevant pieces on: social media, the model phenomenon and interviews with more current designers.

Twilight Eclipse

Twilight books are my guilty pleasure. On my flight out to New York, last year I managed to plow through the first two books. They're effortless to read, even if the 'Love Story' is totally far fetched. I've only just got around to reading the third and it's a breeze to read.

Skinny Bitch

Speaking of New York, whilst out there I ate a lot: pancakes, waffles and cheesecake all got ticket off the food bucket list and whilst feeling serious food guilt browsing Barnes and Noble I thought it was best to pick up a healthy food book. Skinny Bitch (New York Times best seller) was being pro-mo'd and I thought I'd give it a go.

Skinny Bitch is a hilarious, tough love guide to getting fit and staying healthy. Warning! There are a lot of things they recommend you not to eat and the book is a serious eye-opener as to what crap gets pumped into our food.

Leadership and Self- Deception

This book fell off a shelf at A's house, so I asked to borrow it. Studying a media subject at uni, I like to supplement my reading list with some more business based books covering a variety of topics including management and self development within the workplace.

I would also like to point out the swishness of the handwritten font, can we please take a moment to appreciate the font.

I enjoyed popping this post together and having a go at 'Pro' (Terms used very loosely) photography with my snap snap.

  1. A job cover letter goes hand in hand with a well written resume. Your cover letter should point out to any reader your present and future goals, showing recruiters what you will do now for them as well as what you will do for them in the future.
