Hotel Review: Grandior Hotel Prague

It's another Travel blog post!

For a 21st Birthday treat, Adam planned a mini break to Prague in the Czech Republic. He'd kept it a secret for months, then told me so I had time to research the city, plan, make reservations and pack!

Now, I'm the sort of person who will quite willingly slum it in a backpackers hostel. Needs must and all that. Adam is the opposite and so for this trip booked the Grandior Hotel Prague as the place to rest our heads.

The 5 star hotel boasts a fantastic inner city location and breakfast included all for an amount that I'm not allowed to know, because it's my birthday. (You can find out here if you want, but I'm not looking!)

We stayed in a double room that was lovely and spacious, unlike a London counterpart and filled with light. The reception hallway leads into the main living and bedroom space and off into the beautiful bathroom.

A built in wardrobe and shelving area, with safe housed both of our belongings comfortably. The living space of a desk and mirror and two arm chairs with a TV, filled the room without over crowding it.

Unfortunately, the bed really did let the room down. You'd expect a 5 star hotel to have a luxury, divine mattress and bed spread. What we got was two singles put together and a sheet. Our romantic nights consisted of slipping and sliding down the gap of the two singles. Sexy.

The mini bar and fridge were housed in the swanky looking cabinet in the middle of this picture. With alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and a few small snacks. Tea and coffee was complimentary, as were a few bathroom essentials.

As with any hotel, Grandior Hotel Prague provided a guidebook of the local amenities and top sightseeing recommendations for our time there. I always have flick through theses, no matter where I am in the world to see what's on offer locally that the internet hasn't flagged up and any special hotel to attraction offers and partnerships they might have available.

The bathroom was without a doubt, the highlight of the room. With wall to floor tiling, a huge mirror and a magnificent power shower, it was hard to leave behind.

Whilst the bath does not fit two people in comfortably, the shower is amazing! I could have stayed in there all day.

As ever, the towels were changed daily and robes and slippers were provided. I pretty much lived in my robe and slippers when I was in the hotel. So cosy.

Shampoo, conditioner and soap were all provided, in squeezy on wall bottles.

The L'Occitane products were a lovely touch. As ever, I was more interested in the packaging than the product, but the moisturiser was dreamy and I used the shower cap and once the trip was over, wrapped my shoes up in it to travel back home.

Whilst we didn't spend huge amounts of time in the Hotel, it was a lovely way to end to a day of sightseeing to come back to a relaxing and inviting hotel space. The breakfast was also amazing, but I'll tell you more about that in my next travel blog post!

Have you stayed at the Grandior Hotel Prague, Czech Republic? What did you think?
